Cranberry Walnut Cheese Spread | Wisconsin Artisan Cheese

Sweet cranberries. Toasted-nut flavor. Creamy cheese. This one doesn't need much convincing.

Made in Almena, Wisconsin, this artisan cheese spread combines real cranberries and walnuts with a handmade specialty cream cheese blend for something that's sweet, nutty, creamy, and ridiculously easy to put on the table.

Spread it over a warm bagel in the morning. Set it out with crackers and pretzels when somebody stops by. Add it to a cheese board alongside fruit, nuts, and something interesting to pour. Or stand at the kitchen counter eating it directly from a cracker while you're supposedly making dinner.

It's an easy little something to keep around for gatherings, quiet evenings at home, and those occasions when supper isn't quite ready but everybody has started wandering into the kitchen looking hungry.

Why We Chose It

Because Wisconsin knows cheese.

But more than that, we liked the combination: creamy cheese, tart-sweet cranberries, and walnuts feels made for the part of the year when the evenings get colder and people start gathering around the kitchen again.

It's familiar enough to know exactly what to do with it, but interesting enough that we'd be excited to set it out and say, “Here. Try this.”

How We'd Enjoy It

Give this one a spot on a simple snack board with good crackers, sliced apples or pears, nuts, and something festive in a glass.

For breakfast, spread it over a toasted bagel or hearty bread.

And for our First Cold Night? We'd put it out with crackers while the apple cake waits for later, the candles are lit, and a glass of cranberry zero-proof spirit is nearby.
